Harbhajan Singh Stirs Controversy, Defends Rohit Sharma Against Leak Accusations

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has come down hard on a fan who accused Rohit Sharma of leaking sensitive information from the dressing room, labeling it a "dirty game" aimed at tarnishing the reputation of an "honest man." This drama kicked off after The Indian Express reported that head coach Gautam Gambhir had given the team a stern talking-to following India's heavy 184-run loss in the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
A fan took to social media, claiming that Rohit had "leaked information with salt and pepper," and accused the Indian captain of pushing a ‘fake narrative’ against the head coach and his teammates.
Harbhajan, known for his straightforward style, wasted no time in responding to the accusation, demanding to know the source of the leak. He challenged the fan's statement and implied that they might be getting paid to spread such falsehoods.
"You seem to have insider info from the dressing room. Who's your source? Should I take a guess? I have a feeling someone is paying you to spread lies about an honest man," Harbhajan fired back in a sharp response.
In a different tweet, Harbhajan fired back with a pretty controversial reply to a fan who mentioned that leaders don’t just bail halfway through.
“Main jaanta hu kaun bhaaga tha. Yaad dilau? Kaaran bhi bataaunga, rongte khade ho jaayenge (I know who ran away. Should I remind you? I can tell you the reason too, you’d get goosebumps),” wrote Harbhajan..
Rohit talking about why he wasn't around
Rohit Sharma addressed the buzz around off-field issues during Day 2 of the Sydney Test, where he wasn't playing. Chatting with the official broadcasters on Saturday, he brushed off concerns about his absence, insisting that the players weren't bothered by any distractions.
"It doesn’t affect us because the players here are made of steel. We’ve worked hard to build that mentality. Look, there are things we can’t control, and we don’t want to stress over them. We’d rather not waste our time on it," Rohit said.
Rohit, who has been having a tough time with his form, missed the Sydney Test and was replaced by Shubman Gill. He stepped back after a rough patch, managing only 31 runs in three Tests with an average of 6.20, and his highest score being just 10.
