Jasprit Bumrah showed off his batting skills when India really needed it, helping the team avoid a follow-on in the third Test against Australia in Brisbane. He stood firm when things got tough for Team India, finishing Day 4 not out on ten. Bumrah teamed up with Akash Deep for an unbeaten 39-run partnership for the last wicket, which helped keep Australia’s lead under 200. Akash was not out on 27, while Bumrah stayed on 10, pushing India to 252 for nine, still trailing by 193 runs from Australia’s first innings total of 445.

Bumrah's batting display came just a day after he highlighted his skills during a press conference following Day 3's play at the Gabba. When a reporter asked him about the Indian batting performance given the conditions, Bumrah made sure to remind everyone of his unique achievement as a batter, holding the record for the most runs scored in a single over in Tests—35 runs against Stuart Broad.

Reporter: "Hey, Jasprit! What’s your take on the batting? I know you might not be the go-to guy for this, but how do you feel about the team’s situation given the conditions at Gabba?"

Bumrah: "That's a good question! But it sounds like you're doubting my batting skills. Maybe check Google to see who’s racked up the most runs in a Test match. Just kidding, though. That’s a whole different topic."

After Bumrah's impressive batting performance on Tuesday, Google India chimed in on their X account, saying, "I only trust Jassi Bhai."

Bumrah has really shone as the top bowler in the series, racking up 18 wickets and sitting at the top of the bowling leaderboard. Meanwhile, the other Indian bowlers haven't quite found their rhythm in this series.

Rahul and Jadeja spearheaded India's comeback.

Rahul started the morning at 51-4 and got a lucky break when Steve Smith dropped an easy catch at first slip on the very first ball. He capitalized on that mistake, scoring 84 runs off 139 balls and spearheading India's comeback. Ravindra Jadeja also contributed significantly with 77 runs off 123 balls, helping to stabilize the innings. As the day wrapped up, Akash hit a huge six off Cummins over deep mid-wicket just before the umpires called the players off the field due to bad light, leaving India at 252-9 and still 193 runs behind.
