Lucknow: A final ball run out at the opposite end left Georgia Voll stranded on 99, yet propelled UP Warriorz to a 12-run victory over Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who remain at the bottom of the five-team standings in the Women’s Premier League on Saturday.

In front of a large audience celebrating International Women’s Day, Voll’s impressive 56-ball innings (17 fours, 1 six) led UPW to a remarkable total of 225/5, marking the highest score in WPL history as the tournament enters its third season. She matched Sophie Devine’s record for the highest individual score in WPL, providing UPW with a solid foundation through a 77-run opening partnership with Grace Harris (39 off 22 balls, 7 fours, 1 six). Kiran Navgire also contributed significantly with 46 runs off just 16 balls, including 2 fours and 5 sixes.

This victory elevated UPW to fourth place with 6 points, while RCB found themselves at the bottom. RCB is set to face Mumbai Indians in Mumbai on Tuesday, but even a win would not secure them a spot in the playoffs.
