India's captain, Rohit Sharma, arrived back in Mumbai on Tuesday in anticipation of the upcoming 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, he expressed his frustration towards the paparazzi at the airport, who attempted to invade his family's privacy.

Recently, Rohit successfully led the Indian team to secure a second consecutive ICC title. Following their triumph in Barbados last June, where they ended a lengthy title drought by winning the T20 World Cup, the Men in Blue claimed victory against New Zealand in a thrilling final earlier this month in Dubai, securing the Champions Trophy. This marked India's third title in the 50-over tournament, solidifying its status as the most successful team in its history.

After the significant tournament, Rohit took a family trip to the Maldives. However, with less than a week remaining before the commencement of the 18th IPL season, for which the Mumbai Indians have already started their preparations, he returned to India to focus on the event.

In a widely circulated video on social media, Rohit confronted the paparazzi who were attempting to photograph him and his family. As the photographers encroached upon his family, the 37-year-old raised his voice in anger and pushed them back. He then assisted his family into the car before turning to pose for the photographers with a smile.

Rohit Sharma set for crucial IPL 2025

The Indian opener has dispelled speculation regarding his retirement from One Day Internationals; however, he has not explicitly stated his desire to participate in the 2027 World Cup. While he has left the door open for future possibilities, a recent report from Cricbuzz indicated that his decision will significantly hinge on the upcoming IPL season. This tournament marks his first foray into T20 cricket since he declared his retirement from T20 Internationals.

Furthermore, the report suggested that the IPL 2025 will play a crucial role in determining his future in Test cricket and whether he will be selected for the tour of England scheduled for June.
