Sajid Khan stands out as one of the premier spinners that Pakistan has produced in the past decade. His contributions were instrumental in the Shan Masood-led team’s victory over England in the three-match Test series last year. At 31 years old, Sajid has participated in 12 Test matches for Pakistan, claiming 59 wickets at an average of 27.28. Recently, he appeared on a Pakistani news channel for a rapid-fire segment, during which he made a surprising revelation.

In this rapid-fire round, Sajid was posed various questions, including one about his potential career path had he not pursued cricket. The host of ARY News Channel inquired, "If you were not a cricketer, what would you have been?"

Sajid Khan humorously responded, "I would have been a gangster."

This remark elicited laughter from the host, who continued, "You are embodying that persona."

Throughout the rapid-fire session, Sajid referred to Babar Azam as "the best player in the world" and praised Virat Kohli as "the best Indian player ever."

Sajid leads turnaround

Last year, after suffering a defeat against England in the first Test, Shan Masood and his team turned to Sajid Khan for the second and third Tests, which significantly altered the team's trajectory.

With the introduction of rank turners, Pakistan triumphed in both the second and third Tests, ultimately winning the series 2-1.

Sajid Khan's most recent appearance was in a two-match Test series against the West Indies, where he took 15 wickets. Unfortunately, Pakistan could not secure the series victory, as the West Indies won the final Test, resulting in a 1-1 draw.

Sajid made his Test debut in 2021 against Zimbabwe in Harare, where he did not take any wickets in his first match.

Known for his exuberant celebrations on the field, Sajid showcased a John Cena-inspired celebration during the second Test against the West Indies after delivering a ball that spun sharply past Jomel Warrican's outside edge.
