As the Pakistan Super League 2025 prepares to commence on Friday, unexpected drama has already unfolded prior to the season's opening match. A fire erupted on the sixth floor of the Serena Hotel in Islamabad, where PSL team players are currently accommodated.

Footage of the hotel engulfed in smoke has circulated widely on social media, occurring just before the players were scheduled to depart for the stadium.

In response, the district administration has confirmed that the fire started on the top floor, with the fire department promptly arriving at the scene. Officials have stated that the incident was a structural fire and not linked to any terrorist activity.

Fortunately, all guests and staff, including PSL players and personnel, were unharmed and evacuated as a safety measure. Additionally, the surrounding area was secured, leading to traffic disruptions.
