Manchester United's Phil Jones, a former England international, is heading to India on April 6 for the finals of the third edition of Apollo Tyres’ Road to Old Trafford, a special five-a-side football tournament backed by Manchester United.

The tournament finals will take place in Chennai, following the qualifying rounds held in Pune and New Delhi.

Jones, who has won the Premier League with Manchester United, has also represented England in two FIFA World Cups. Throughout his impressive 12-year career, he made 219 appearances for the club and boasts a trophy collection that includes the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup.

In the first round of the Road To Old Trafford held in Pune and New Delhi, 40 teams competed fiercely for six coveted spots in the Chennai finals. In the end, Stilton Cafe (Delhi), Tajore Cafe (Delhi), and BP Street (Noida) from New Delhi, along with Three Wise Monkey (Mumbai), Swig (Pune), and K-Bar (Goa) from Pune, secured their places for the final showdown, which is set to take place in Chennai on April 6.

The team that emerges victorious in the finals will be rewarded with an incredible opportunity: an all-expenses-paid trip to Manchester, UK, where they will get to play on the legendary Old Trafford pitch, home to Manchester United FC. The Grand Finale of Apollo Tyres’ Road To Old Trafford, where the Global Winner will be decided, is scheduled for June 6 at this iconic stadium.

Entries for the third edition of Road To Old Trafford are now open to amateurs, giving football fans across the country a chance to join in the tournament.
