Anthony Edwards engaged in a heated altercation with LeBron James during the playoff match between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. At one stage, Edwards went down with what appeared to be a significant injury. Nevertheless, he was back on his feet and will not be absent from the game, as confirmed by the team.

At halftime, the Timberwolves were ahead 61-58. The Western Conference's sixth seed entered Game 4, leading the series 2-1 in a highly competitive matchup.

Just prior to halftime, LeBron leaped at Edwards' legs, attempting to grab the ball. However, the Timberwolves' star lost his footing and fell. He clutched his leg in considerable discomfort. Nonetheless, numerous fans accused him of ‘faking’ an injury.

ESPN's Dave McMenamin remarked: "Anthony Edwards was on the floor for a prolonged period after LeBron James collided with Edwards' left ankle while diving for a loose ball. He managed to rise and walk to the Wolves bench unaided. He will remain in the game. "

One social media user, accusing Edwards of ‘faking’ an injury, commented: “Anthony Edwards has mastered the injury overreaction. No one will ever know when he’s truly injured. ”

In the first half, Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle guided the Minnesota Timberwolves to a three-point advantage. It was primarily LeBron James and Luka Doncic for the Lakers.

Edwards recorded 19 points, four rebounds, and four assists. Randle, in contrast, registered 21 points. For Los Angeles, James contributed 22 points and seven assists, Doncic added 21 points, and Rui Hachimura tallied 10 points.
