Did Virat Kohli Unfollow Ranveer Allahbadia? Fans React to Viral Screenshot Amid Controversy

2 months ago | 5 Views

Ranveer Allahbadia, the influencer and entrepreneur, is in hot water after his recent appearance on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. The trouble started when he asked a contestant a question that many found inappropriate, leading to a wave of outrage on social media, with countless users calling him out for his behavior.

As the backlash intensified, reports from an influencer marketing firm indicated that Ranveer lost around 8,000 followers. But the real kicker seems to be that Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli has reportedly unfollowed him, as shown in a viral screenshot of Kohli’s Instagram following list, which has only added fuel to the fire of online discussions.

Fans have been buzzing about the screenshot making the rounds on social media:

The situation took a turn for the worse earlier this week when an FIR was lodged against Ranveer, Samay Raina, and several others linked to India’s Got Latent, including Apoorva Makhija, Ashish Chanchlani, and the show's producers. Authorities have called Ranveer in for questioning, and he’s set to give his statement soon.

In light of the backlash, Ranveer has publicly apologized. The controversial episode has been pulled from YouTube, and Samay has decided to remove all India’s Got Latent videos from his channel.

“It’s all been overwhelming for me. I just wanted to bring some laughter and joy,” he stated, promising to fully cooperate with the investigation.

Notice from Assam Police

Assam Police has recently sent out new summons to Chanchlani, Allahbadia, and a few others. This all started when a complaint was lodged by Alok Boruah, a Guwahati local, on February 10, leading to a case being opened with the Guwahati Crime Branch against various YouTubers and influencers.

The complaint claimed that the accused were involved in inappropriate and vulgar conversations during the YouTube show "India's Got Latent," which was said to have negatively impacted public decency and morals.

A senior Assam Police official informed ANI that a team has been dispatched to Mumbai to look into the situation. "We've issued summons to Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia, and we'll be digging deeper into this issue," the official stated.
