Netizens criticized Jurel, labeling him as 'selfish' for refusing to allow Shimron Hetmyer to take a run, a decision that ultimately contributed to Delhi successfully defending nine runs in the final over and leading to the tie-breaker.

Mitchell Starc was tasked with protecting a nine-run lead during the last over of Rajasthan's innings. The Australian bowler executed his strategy flawlessly, mixing his line and length effectively against both Jurel and Hetmyer, leaving Rajasthan needing three runs from the final two deliveries. Starc then delivered an excellent yorker, which Hetmyer managed to drive through the covers, past Tristan Stubbs, who quickly retrieved the ball to make a throw. Hetmyer attempted to take a second run, but Jurel instructed him to return after the first run, deeming the second attempt too risky given Stubbs' impressive fielding.

Following his remarkable performance in the 20th over of Rajasthan's innings, he excelled in the Super Over, restricting the visitors to a mere 11 runs for two wickets. Subsequently, Lokesh Rahul and Tristan Stubbs capitalized on Sandeep Sharma's initial four deliveries, scoring 13 runs and propelling Delhi to the top of the points table with five victories out of six matches.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan fell to eighth place, having secured only two wins from seven matches.
