Cristiano Ronaldo extended his remarkable goal-scoring record in the Saudi Pro League with another goal for Al Nassr on Sunday. Approaching his 40th birthday next month, Ronaldo has now achieved a total of 920 goals in his professional football career. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner played a crucial role in Al Nassr's 3-1 victory over Al Fateh at Al-Awwal Park. Despite this win, the team remains in third place in the Saudi Pro League standings, trailing behind Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad.

In the match, Ronaldo netted the third goal for Al Nassr; however, two of his goals were ruled out by VAR, which visibly frustrated him after the game. He was captured on camera expressing his displeasure, even though his team secured the win.

The 39-year-old met his friend and well-known journalist Piers Morgan after the match, who was present at the stadium to witness him play. Morgan shook hands with Ronaldo and said, “You were robbed,” to which the star footballer replied, “They don’t like me to score goals.”

He also posted a few photos of the match on his Instagram and wrote, "We’re not stopping" in the caption.

Ronaldo has displayed exceptional performance this year, having scored four goals in as many matches, as he accelerates towards his goal of achieving 1,000 career goals in professional football.

The five-time Ballon d'Or recipient previously expressed his satisfaction with life in Saudi Arabia, noting that his family is also content in their new environment.

"I am happy, and my family shares that happiness. We have embarked on a new chapter in this beautiful country. Life is good, and football is thriving. Both individually and collectively, we continue to progress," Ronaldo stated in an interview with the Saudi Pro League’s official media outlets.

He acknowledged the challenges of competing in the Saudi Pro League against formidable teams such as Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, yet he remains resolute in his ambition to secure additional titles.

"Competing with teams like Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad is challenging, but we are committed to pushing forward and striving for success. Football encompasses both highs and lows. However, the key for me is to maintain professionalism, work diligently, honor the club and my contract, and have faith that circumstances will improve—so that Al Nassr can aim for more titles," he concluded.
