Faiz Selemani of Al-Riyadh opened the scoring during the first half's stoppage time, capitalizing on a rebound. In response, Ronaldo took charge in the second half, scoring a tap-in in the 56th minute following an excellent assist from former Liverpool player Sadio Mane.

Just eight minutes later, the 40-year-old executed a stunning volley into the top corner, extending Al-Nassr's lead to 2-1 with a truly world-class goal.

Al-Nassr currently occupies the third position in the SPL standings, trailing Al-Hilal by one point and leaders Al-Ittihad by eight points.

Ronaldo has displayed remarkable performance this season, netting 32 goals and providing 4 assists thus far.

At 40 years old, he has a unique chance to become the first player to reach 1,000 professional goals; however, he recently expressed that he does not fixate on that milestone.

“Let’s savor the moment… I’m not obsessing over 1,000 goals,” Cristiano stated.

“If it happens, that’s great. If it doesn’t, that’s fine too!” he continued.

The Al-Nassr star emphasized the importance of living in the present, as he prefers not to impose additional pressure on himself to reach a milestone at this stage of his career.

“The present moment is what matters most—not what lies ahead. Let’s appreciate the now,” he urged.

The 41-year-old acknowledged that he is in the twilight years of his career and intends to approach it gradually.

“While records and specific goal counts, like 70 or 69, are commendable, at this stage of my career, I want to embrace the moment… and enjoy it. I aim to continue progressing step by step and winning championships,” he concluded.
