In a noteworthy commentary, Carlsen highlighted the significant distinctions between the current world champion D Gukesh and Alireza Firouzja. The top player from India faced defeat against Firouzja during the Weissenhaus Grand Slam event.

Particularly intriguing were Carlsen's remarks concerning the contentious cheating allegations involving Hans Niemann. Although Carlsen has refrained from discussing the scandal in depth due to a legal settlement that restricts him, he did indicate that he will address the issue in an upcoming Netflix documentary.

Rogan inquired about the allegation involving Niemann and anal beads, which suggested that the American Grandmaster utilized them to communicate and cheat through Morse code.

In an unexpected turn, Carlsen dismissed the claim and disclosed its actual source. “The rumour originated from a comment made by a random individual on one of my friend's streaming channels. The person mentioned anal beads, and my friend responded with 'Yeah, maybe.' From there, it gained traction on Reddit, caught the attention of Elon Musk, who tweeted about it, and subsequently, it escalated significantly.”

“I truly do not believe that this occurred. I think it is entirely disconnected from reality, yet it has taken on a life of its own,” he further remarked.

Since the cheating controversy at the 2022 Sinquefield Cup, the two have developed a contentious rivalry. Niemann has frequently expressed on X that the situation has severely impacted his professional career, resulting in fewer invitations to prestigious tournaments. They are set to face each other at the forthcoming Paris Freestyle Chess Grand Slam event, where Niemann has been included.

Jan Henric Buettner, co-owner of Freestyle Chess, noted that Carlsen was not pleased with the decision to allow Niemann to participate in Paris, but ultimately accepted it. Their upcoming match could significantly increase interest and viewership for Freestyle Chess.
