The 11th Season of the Celebrity Cricket League is approaching its conclusion. On the weekend of March 1 and 2, the competition will take place in Mysuru for the first time, featuring the top four teams competing in the semi-finals on Saturday, followed by the final on Sunday. The announcement of Mysuru as the venue for these crucial matches was made just a few days ago, with Kiccha Sudeep, the captain of the Karnataka Bulldozers, expressing gratitude to the Karnataka State Cricket Association for facilitating this event.

After an intense 14-match group stage, the leading four teams are prepared for the semi-finals. The Bengal Tigers, the reigning champions, have secured the top position in the points table with four victories and no defeats, followed by the Karnataka Bulldozers, Chennai Rhinos, and Punjab De Sher. The final four teams were determined prior to the last match in Surat; however, at that time, Punjab De Sher held the third position, which they subsequently lost following a significant defeat to the Mumbai Heroes.

Semi-final schedule of CCL 2025 in Mysuru

On March 1, the inaugural semi-final will feature a contest between the Bengal Tigers and Punjab De Sher. Previously, the Tigers emerged victorious against the Shers during the Delhi phase of the tournament. However, at the halfway mark, the match appeared evenly poised, with Harrdy Sandhu’s team closely contesting the defending champions after the initial 10 overs. While the Tigers have demonstrated remarkable dominance this season, the Shers have proven their resilience by overcoming both the Bulldozers and the Bhojpuri Dabanggs to reach the semi-finals. Undoubtedly, the Tigers are considered the favourites to secure victory in this match.

CCL 2025: Day 2 - Match 3 Bengal Tigers Achieve Consecutive Victory; Defeat Punjab De Sher with Ease

The second semi-final features a rematch between the Karnataka Bulldozers and the Chennai Rhinos. Previously, during the Hyderabad leg of CCL 2025, the Bulldozers emerged victorious over the Rhinos. A remarkable performance by Darling Krishna in the first innings provided the Bulldozers with a strong advantage, leading to a decisive win against the Rhinos. Both teams have claimed the CCL trophy on two occasions, with the Rhinos securing their victories against the Bulldozers. The Karnataka team has finished as runners-up five times, often falling short in crucial moments. It has been some time since either team last lifted the trophy, and notably, the Rhinos have not reached a final since 2015. In contrast, the Bulldozers have participated in seven of the last ten finals, positioning them as the favourites for this match, although the Rhinos may still present an unexpected challenge.
