This marked their first public appearance in some time, particularly in light of the ongoing legal dispute involving her co-star, Justin Baldoni. During the event, Ryan appeared to make a lighthearted remark regarding the situation.

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, both experienced alumni of SNL, directed the audience's focus towards Ryan and Blake, who were seated among them. They inquired, “Ryan! How are you?” To which the actor responded, “Fantastic! What have you been told?” Blake, who had been smiling beside Ryan, suddenly looked at him in surprise, as if taken aback by his humorous remark.

Fans expressed their delight at seeing the couple publicly reunited. One individual commented on Twitter, "Ryan and Blake are truly remarkable." Another remarked, "Reynolds consistently provides the finest lines." A further comment suggested, "I wouldn't be surprised if he even verified Blake's following list after that incident."

Blake vs Baldoni

Lively has leveled accusations of sexual harassment against Baldoni, asserting that he has orchestrated a smear campaign aimed at her. These claims were brought to light in a complaint submitted to the California Civil Rights Department, which subsequently evolved into a formal lawsuit.

Baldoni has categorically refuted Lively's allegations. In retaliation, he initiated a defamation lawsuit against the New York Times concerning its reporting on the matter.

Furthermore, Baldoni has taken legal action against Lively, her spouse Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist, filing a lawsuit amounting to USD 400 million on January 16.

Baldoni's attorney, Bryan Freedman, has indicated that the ongoing legal disputes have significantly affected Baldoni both financially and emotionally.

During a pre-trial conference, Freedman remarked that the actor has been "devastated" by the legal proceedings.

Freedman, who also represents Baldoni's production company, Wayfarer Studios, along with others associated with the 'It Ends With Us' project, noted that the public nature of the case has complicated Baldoni's ability to effectively counter the allegations.

In a bid to vindicate himself, Baldoni has engaged with the public by releasing unedited footage from the 'It Ends With Us' set and establishing a website that showcases text message exchanges between him and Lively.

Despite these initiatives, Baldoni's attorney maintains that the gravity of the allegations has already had a profound effect, stressing that once accusations are made, they tend to be accepted as truths, complicating the defense process.

The trial involving Baldoni and Lively is set to commence in May 2026.
