India's Shreyas Iyer has been awarded his second ICC Men's Player of the Month title after leading the team's scoring efforts and playing a pivotal role in their historic victory at the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025. The ICC announced the winners of the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for March 2025 on Tuesday, April 15.

In a notable achievement, Australia's Georgia Voll claimed her first ICC Women’s Player of the Month award, recognized for her outstanding batting performances during Australia’s clean sweep in the T20I series against New Zealand.

Iyer triumphed over New Zealand players Jacob Duffy and Rachin Ravindra to secure the men's award, while Voll outperformed her fellow Australian Annabel Sutherland and the USA's Chetnaa Prasad in the women's category.

Iyer's recognition follows Shubman Gill's win in February, marking a continuation of accolades for Indian players, while Voll is the fourth consecutive Australian woman to receive the Women’s Player of the Month honor.

The selection of both players was determined through a vote involving global fans registered at icc-cricket.com alongside a specialist panel that included ICC Hall of Famers, former international cricketers, and media representatives.

Iyer's impressive performance included scoring 172 runs at an average of 57.33 during the final three matches of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, making him a key contributor to India's historic third title in the tournament.

As the competition reached its climax, Iyer first delivered a match-winning 79 off 98 balls in the final group-stage game against New Zealand. He then added a crucial 45 runs in partnership with Virat Kohli to help India secure a challenging semi-final victory over Australia. In the thrilling final against New Zealand, he laid the groundwork for a successful chase, scoring a composed 48 off 62 balls, leading India to triumph with a total of 252 runs amid celebratory scenes in Dubai.

Shreyas Iyer, the ICC Men’s Player of the Month for March, expressed his gratitude by stating, “I am genuinely honored to receive the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for March. This recognition holds great significance, particularly in a month when we secured the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy — a moment I will treasure for a lifetime.

“Contributing to India’s achievements on such a prominent platform is a dream for every cricketer. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my teammates, coaches, and support staff for their steadfast support and confidence in me.

“I also want to express my sincere appreciation to the fans — your enthusiasm and encouragement inspire us at every turn."

On the other hand, ICC Women’s Player of the Month Georgia Voll, who made her international debut only in December, has already showcased her remarkable potential on the global stage.

During the matches in March against New Zealand, the 21-year-old displayed an impressive range of strokes, quickly making headlines by scoring her first T20I half-century in just 30 balls during the opening match in Auckland, helping Australia successfully chase down a target of 138.

She continued her strong performance with an additional 36 runs in Mount Maunganui, culminating in a Player of the Match-winning display in Wellington, where she scored 75 runs off 57 balls, leading her team to a decisive series victory over the T20 World Cup champions.

“Receiving this award is a wonderful way to conclude what has been an extraordinary summer for both myself and the team," Georgia Voll remarked.
