Babar Azam tries to rattle Marco Jansen, but it backfires as Jansen scores a quick fifty
4 days ago | 5 Views
South Africa racked up a massive score in the second Test against Pakistan at Newlands, Cape Town. They put 615 runs on the board, thanks in large part to a stellar 259-run innings from opener Ryan Rickelton. When Marco Jansen came in to bat during the 121st over, Babar Azam was spotted having a chat with him.
Babar approached Jansen and gave him a long look before they engaged in a lively discussion. Neither player seemed too happy, and it was clear the exchange wasn’t exactly friendly.
Interestingly, their conversation didn’t make it onto the stump mic. Babar’s attempt to get under Jansen’s skin backfired spectacularly, as the tall all-rounder went on to score a quick fifty.
In the end, Jansen finished with 62 runs off just 54 balls, hitting eight fours and three sixes, and maintaining an impressive strike rate of 114.29.
