Meanwhile, world No. 1 and reigning champion Jannik Sinner is set to compete against Chilean player Nicolas Jarry in the tournament's opening round.

Sinner, who secured his first Grand Slam title by defeating Daniil Medvedev in the 2024 final, could encounter No. 13 seed Holger Rune in the fourth round, followed by a possible clash with either No. 8 seed Alex de Minaur or No. 11 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas. Should the Italian navigate his quarter successfully, he might face Medvedev again in the semifinals.

Medvedev, seeded No. 5, will commence his tournament against a wildcard entry and will need to overcome Alexei Popyrin, the No. 25 seed, in the third round, followed by No. 17 seed Frances Tiafoe in the round of 16, and potentially Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals.

Djokovic, a 24-time Grand Slam champion, will begin his quest for a record-extending 11th Australian Open title against U.S. wildcard Nishesh Basavareddy. Following this, he may encounter Reily Opelka, who recently triumphed over him in the Brisbane International quarterfinals. Additionally, Sumit Nagal, who is also in Djokovic's quarter, will start his campaign against No. 26 seed Tomas Maohao, with a top-100 ranking on the line.

In the same quarter, Alcaraz, aiming for a Career Slam, will face Kazakhstan's Alexander Shevchenko in his opening match. The victor of this highly anticipated quarterfinal could potentially meet second-seeded German Alexander Zverev, who will kick off his tournament against French wildcard Lucas Pouille.
