Gujarat Titans' head coach Ashish Nehra lost his temper on Saturday during a nail-biting IPL 2025 match against the Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The frustration came after his team lost five wickets in just 13 balls, finishing with a score of 196 for eight. Despite this, the Shubman Gill-led team managed to secure a victory by 36 runs.

The match started strong for Gujarat, thanks to opener Sai Sudharsan, who hit a quick 63 off 41 balls, putting them on track for a total over 200. They were sitting comfortably at 170 for three in 17 overs. However, Mumbai's bowlers turned the tide in the final overs, leading to a dramatic collapse where Gujarat lost five wickets in a mere 13 deliveries.

In a shocking turn, three wickets fell in just three balls, dropping Gujarat from 179 for four in 17.5 overs to 179 for six in 18.2, with Sherfane Rutherford being the last to go. Nehra's frustration boiled over when Deepak Chahar took Rutherford's wicket, showcasing his anger from the dugout. This marked Gujarat's second batting collapse of IPL 2025, having previously experienced a similar downfall against the Punjab Kings, where they went from 169 for two in the 14th over to 232 for five in 20 overs.

Gujarat win by 36 runs

Sudharshan notched up his second consecutive fifty in the league, following his 74 against Punjab, helping Gujarat secure their first win in IPL 2025. Mohammad Siraj made an impact early in the powerplay, taking out openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton, but it was Prasidh Krishna who sealed the victory by dismissing Suryakumar Yadav (48) and Tilak Varma (39), halting Mumbai's comeback.

Gujarat picked up their first points after a narrow 11-run defeat in their opening match against Punjab. Meanwhile, Mumbai faced their second consecutive loss, having previously been beaten by Chennai Kings by four wickets last Sunday.
