Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who is married to Virat Kohli, was observed celebrating India's victory in the Champions Trophy alongside captain Rohit Sharma and his family, with all-rounder Hardik Pandya later joining the festivities. India triumphed over New Zealand by four wickets in an exhilarating final held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, thereby establishing itself as the most successful team in the history of the ICC tournament.

Following his second consecutive ICC title as captain, Rohit shared a touching moment with his daughter Samaira and wife Ritika Sajdeh when Anushka approached him to offer her congratulations with a warm embrace. Shortly thereafter, Hardik joined the celebration, greeting Ritika with a hug and offering Rohit a supportive pat on the back before meeting Anushka, who was standing beside Kohli.

In addition to Kohli and Rohit, several other players joined in the celebrations with the family. All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who secured the victory with his boundary, was photographed alongside his wife Rivaba and their daughter. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami's mother was also in attendance and had the opportunity to meet Kohli during the festivities. Furthermore, Shubman Gill's father, who was present at the event, expressed great joy at his son's achievement of winning his first ICC trophy.

India lift 3rd Champions Trophy title

In a crucial match, New Zealand's captain Mitchell Santner chose to bat first. Contributions from Daryl Mitchell, who scored 63, and Michael Bracewell, who remained unbeaten on 53, enabled the Black Caps to reach a total of 251 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 50 overs. In response, Rohit Sharma delivered a decisive performance, scoring 76 runs off 83 balls, which included seven boundaries and three sixes. He formed a significant opening partnership of 105 runs with his partner, Shubman Gill. Shreyas Iyer added to the momentum with a score of 48, while KL Rahul, with a composed 34 not out, guided India to victory with one over remaining.

This victory marked India's third Champions Trophy title, following their wins in 2002 under Sourav Ganguly and in 2013 under MS Dhoni. Additionally, Rohit Sharma became the second Indian captain, after Dhoni, to secure multiple ICC trophies, having previously led India to a T20 World Cup victory last June.
