Mumbai: Anahat Singh acknowledged that she did not perform at her peak during the British Junior Open, a prestigious junior tournament she clinched for the third time this week as the under-17 champion. Previously, her father served as her travelling coach and sparring partner, providing her with the mental support needed to succeed. This time in Birmingham, Anahat was accompanied by one of India’s most accomplished squash professionals, Saurav Ghosal.
“Having him present instilled confidence in me, knowing that if anything went awry, he would be there to assist,” Anahat, 16, stated from London on Thursday.
