The left-hander displayed a complete lack of regard for experienced Indian bowlers such as Ishant Sharma, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna as he attacked them right from the first ball.

During the fourth over bowled by Ishant Sharma, Suryavanshi hit 28 runs, while in a different over bowled by Karim Janat, the young player struck 30 runs.

Suryavanshi, in partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, accumulated 166 runs for the opening wicket. He ultimately returned to the pavilion after scoring 101 runs off 38 balls. He was outdone by Prasidh Krishna.

“All of us who played cricket envisioned the game in a particular manner, either in our living rooms or while playing with friends. This is what you aspire to. At ages 14 and 15, we all must have dreamed of different things. However, this is what you truly fantasize about. This individual has gone out there and fulfilled that dream. There’s power. He'll be analyzed countless times," remarked Ajay Jadeja.

"There are moments after seven overs when a strategic timeout is called. A lot of credit goes to Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour and the team, who have permitted him to continue flowing and thriving. And I believe it’s the mindset that astonishes me more than anything," he continued.

“Teams are learning to play Rashid Khan better”

The Former Indian cricketer expressed his views on Rashid's disappointing performance and stated that every exceptional player faces a decline in form at some stage in their career. He indicated that it is typical for Rashid to be encountering difficulties, as after maintaining dominance in the game for an extended period, batters begin to read him with the assistance of analysts.

"I believe this will be a component of every athlete's journey, particularly those who have had careers lasting 10 years or 12 years. There will be one of those seasons, especially towards the final part of that decade, because the opposition also begins to understand you. There is a certain analysis that takes place; I might be a staunch opponent of these data individuals, but there is something valuable that you can gain from as well. And I feel the other teams are becoming more adept at playing against him," he stated.

Rashid's former teammate has expressed confidence in his ability to recover in the later phases of the tournament, particularly in the knockout rounds, to ease the path for the 2022 champions.

"I am confident he will bring forth, you know, something innovative by the conclusion of this tournament. So, picture a knockout match and out of the blue he delivers a performance that you and I anticipate or what you are referring to, GT would appreciate that, and so would Rashid," he concluded.
