Rashami Desai, a talented actress recognized for her impactful performances in both television and cinema, recently shared insights into pivotal moments in her career, including the offer for the Fevicol song, the success of her Gujarati film, and her collaborations with Bollywood luminaries such as R. Madhavan and Salman Khan.
Rashami disclosed that she was originally considered for the Fevicol Se song before it was ultimately assigned to Kareena Kapoor Khan. "I had previously worked on an advertisement with Salman Khan. Following that, his team approached me for the song, but I was unable to accept due to existing commitments. Eventually, the song was given to Kareena ma’am, and it became a tremendous success," she recounted. Despite not being part of the iconic track, Rashami adopts a professional stance regarding her career, stating, "I could not participate then, but if the opportunity arose now, I would certainly seize it."
She further explained, "At that time, I was bound by a contract with Colors, which necessitated my decline of the offer. I have always upheld my professional obligations."
Rashami is confident that her body of work is a testament to her abilities. "I am pleased that my name was even considered for the Fevicol song. I do not dwell on missed opportunities; instead, I concentrate on the work I have accomplished. That is what I prefer to discuss," she remarked.
Additionally, she expressed great pride in her recent Gujarati film "Mom Tane Nai Samjay," which has been performing remarkably well in its fourth week. "I feel fortunate to be involved in such a meaningful project as an actor. It is a dream role. The film centers around a mother, and I have never portrayed such a mature character before," she shared.
She shared her initial challenges with the role, expressing, "I was uncertain whether I could adequately portray such a character, as it was markedly different from my previous experiences in comedy or dance. However, with the support of my coach, director, and co-actor Amar Upadhyay, I gradually discovered my rhythm."
Rashami also reflected on her collaboration with R. Madhavan in the film Hisaab Barabar, where she stepped in for Shilpa Shinde, who had to withdraw due to health issues. "They were in search of someone proficient in Bihari, and given my background in Bihari and Bhojpuri films, I was a suitable candidate," she noted.
