Paaraa, a single from the upcoming Tamil film Indian 2, was released by the makers on social media on Wednesday. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song is crooned by the musician along with Shruthika Samudhrala. Indian 2 will release on July 12 in big screens.

The makers of Indian 2 released a single from the album on Wednesday. Paaraa, the foot-tapping number, has lyrics penned by Paa Vijay. The lyrical video is fast-paced, describing the character played by Kamal Haasan. Exploring the themes of patriotism and heroism, the song is accompanied by animated visuals.

Indian 2 is helmed by veteran filmmaker S Shankar and is headlined by Kamal Haasan. The film is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster film Indian. Kamal Haasan played dual roles, including the iconic character Senapathy, a freedom fighter turned vigilante against corruption in Indian. Indian 2 sees the comeback of Senapathy. However, the original cast of Indian 2, which includes Manisha Koirala, Ambika, Goundamani, and Senthil, will not be featured in the upcoming sequel. Instead, Indian 2 will boast a star ensemble, including Siddharth, SJ Suryah, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Nedumudi Venu, Vivek, Samuthirakani, Bobby Simha, Guru Somasundaram, Delhi Ganesh, Jayaprakash, Manobala, Vennela Kishore and Deepa Shankar, among others.

Netflix bags Indian 2 rights

The film is set to hit theatres on July 12. After its theatrical run, Indian 2 will be available for streaming on Netflix. Lyca Productions and Red Giant Movies are producing Indian 2, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander.

The technical crew of Indian 2 consists of cinematographer Ravi Varman and Sreekar Prasad on the edit. T. Muthuraj is the production designer and the dialogues have been penned by Jayamohan, Kabilan Vairamuthu and Lakshmi Saravana Kumar.
