Excitement levels knew no bounds when the teaser of Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming film Max came out and included not only glimpses of high-octane action pieces, but also a tiny bit of the actor busting a couple of moves. His swag while dancing was what his fans absolutely loved. A lyrical video of the first single from the film, Maximum Mass, which is the song that bit is from, was released moments ago on the occasion of the Kannada superstar’s birthday and the highlight of the Ajaneesh B Loknath composition that MC Bijju and Chetan Gandharva sang was the announcement at the very end. 

The much-awaited release date announcement of Max is only a few days away. The makers have promised an update to be dropped on the occasion of Ganesha Chaturthi on September 7. Only days ago, Sudeep had said that the release of the film would happen shortly and that an official announcement could be expected from the team. He did not rule out the possibility of the film settling for a September 27 theatrical outing, as has been rumoured. Netizens, though, think that an October-November outing is more likely.

As for the song itself, Vikrant Rona maker Anup Bhandari serves as lyricist and serves up lines that fans have lapped up, but the song itself is not much an earworm. The lyrical video had very little of Sudeep, with the highlight, yet again being the bit that was used in the teaser.

Max, produced by Kalaipulli S Thanu and directed by debutant Vijay Kartikeyaa, has been shrouded in mystery, with the team not divulging any info about its subject. Sudeep, though, is back in cop mode, with reports suggesting that the film follows the events that unfold when his character, Arjun Mahakshay, reports for duty after a suspension. This had led netizens to opine that it seems similar to Ravi Teja’s Krack.

To be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi, Max also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Samyukta Hornad, Sunil, Pramod Shetty, among others.
