Legendary Duo Unite for 'Edo Ye Janmalodo' in 'Shashtipurthi'

The film "Shashtipurthi," featuring Roopesh in the lead role, is currently in production under the banner of MAA AAI Productions. This project also stars veteran actor Rajendra Prasad and double national award-winning actress Archana in prominent roles. Notably, this marks the first collaboration of this esteemed duo on screen since their appearance in "Ladies Tailor," which debuted 38 years ago. Akanksha Singh is cast as the female lead opposite Roopesh. The film is directed by Pavan Prabha, with Rupesh Chowdary serving as the producer.

In addition, preparations are underway for the grand release of the song "Edo Ye Janmalodo" from the film's soundtrack. This particular piece is noteworthy for its music composed by the legendary Ilayaraja, with lyrics crafted by Oscar-winning MM Keeravani. This collaboration represents a significant moment in Indian cinema, bringing together two of its most celebrated musical talents.

On this occasion, director Pavan Prabha remarked that the film will feature a total of five songs. He noted that Chaitanya Prasad wrote the lyrics for four of these songs, while Keeravani contributed the lyrics for the fifth. Pavan Prabha expressed gratitude for Keeravani's willingness to assist with the lyrics during his time in Chennai, emphasizing the special nature of this collaboration between Ilaiyaraaja and Keeravani.

Producer Rupesh Chowdary stated, "What more could we have wished for than a song composed by Ilaiyaraaja and lyrics by Keeravani? This film is designed to be a family-oriented drama with many pertinent themes. Working alongside veterans like Rajendra Prasad and Archana has been an immensely rewarding experience. We have completed production and will soon announce the release date."
