After the success of their last year's Puja release Raktabeej, Nandita Roy, and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are all set to present this year’s extravaganza, Bohurupi. Now, the new film hits a sixer before its release. It earned Rs 50 lakhs already. Many Bengali films don’t even get that amount of budget. How was it possible? 

The advance booking window has not opened yet. However, it is the music album that has earned the amount. After the song ‘Shimul Palash’, there was ‘Aj Sara Bela’. And now it is ‘Dakatia Banshi.’ The music rights have been sold for Rs 50 lakhs. Junglee Music bought the rights. An elated Shiboprosad gave the credit to musicians, singers, and all other artists. The real-life bohurupi artist Nonichora Das Baul lent his voice to the song. In the films produced by Windows, Songs always played crucial roles. Their films’ songs Rangabati, Tapa Tini, and Nakku Nakur were superhit. Dakatia Banshi has also been a craze this time. 

The film, directed by Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee, will be released on October 8. The director duo stunned everyone last year with their debut Puja release Raktabeej. This year’s Puja release Bohurupi centers around some daring bank robberies that happened in West Bengal in the nineties, the conspirators, and the administration’s battle to catch the criminal. Abir Chatterjee will play SI Sumanta Ghosal. Shiboprosad Mukherjee will play the Bohurupi Bikram. Ritabhari Chakraborty and Koushani Mukherjee are playing two other important roles.
