It's a tough day for Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) fans because it looks like not just one, but two films related to the franchise are stuck in limbo. Farhan Akhtar dropped a hint that Jee Le Zaraa, which many see as the female counterpart to ZNMD, is currently on hold. This comes after Reema Kagti suggested that the sequel, ZNMD 2, might also be off the table. So, here's the scoop on what's going down....

ZNMD 2 might not be happening

Farhan Akhtar, Hrithik Roshan, and Abhay Deol definitely stirred up some excitement by posting a video of themselves hanging out. Fans of ZNMD were buzzing, but writer-producer Reema Kagti had a different take. In a chat with Zoom, she suggested that they should hold off on making a sequel until they have a solid script. "With all the pressure to create Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara 2, maybe it’s best to wait until we come up with a truly great concept," Reema mentioned.

Here's the latest on Jee Le Zaraa

Reema Kagti was chatting with Zoom while Farhan was giving updates to India Today about his upcoming projects. He talked about his directorial venture, Jee Le Zaraa, which is often compared to ZNMD but from a female perspective. Farhan mentioned that he’s been trying to sync schedules with Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, but so far, nothing has come together. Since the project was announced back in 2021, it’s currently on pause. He hinted that he might share more about the film later, suggesting it’s not a priority at the moment.
