Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi's comedy film, Bhool Chuk Maaf, was initially scheduled to compete with Sunny Deol's action-thriller, Jaat, on April 10. Produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, the release of Bhool Chuk Maaf has now been delayed. The filmmakers have announced a new release date along with a promotional clip.

On March 26, Maddock Films announced the updated release date via their Instagram account, sharing a clip of Bhool Chuk Maaf. The film is now set to premiere in theaters on May 9. The accompanying caption read, "Apni haldi mein hi atak gaye Ranjan aur Titli! Kya unki shaadi ka din aayega kabhi? Pata chalega 9th May ko. Bhool Chuk Maaf sabhi cinema-gharon mein!"

Bhool Chuk Maaf is an upcoming romantic comedy featuring Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, which follows a couple caught in a time loop on the eve of their wedding, resulting in repeated pre-wedding festivities.

Set in Varanasi, the film focuses on the couple, Rajkummar and Wamiqa, as they prepare for their marriage. The teaser depicts the couple and their families engaged in wedding preparations, highlighted by a lively haldi ceremony. However, an unexpected incident occurs when a flower tub falls from the roof, leading to a peculiar situation the following day, where Rajkummar discovers it is still the 29th, prompting yet another haldi ceremony. Bhool Chuk Maaf is an official adaptation of the Spanish film Mirage (2018) and explores themes of time travel and parallel realities.

In the meantime, Rajkummar Rao recently appeared in Amar Kaushik's horror-comedy Stree 2 alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi. His upcoming film, Mr and Mrs Mahi, is set to release on May 31, 2024, featuring Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role. Additionally, he was seen in Srikanth and Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Triptii Dimri.

Conversely, Wamiqa Gabbi was featured in Baby John, co-starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh, although the film did not perform well at the box office.
