Suraj Venjaramoodu, known for his diverse filmography, has announced the release date for his upcoming film, Padakkalam, in collaboration with Sharafudheen. Directed by Manu Swaraj, this Malayalam film is set to premiere in theaters as a summer release this year. Additionally, the actor has shared the first-look poster for Padakkalam, providing insights into the film.

Suraj Venjaramoodu reveals Padakkalam release date

In a recent Instagram post, Suraj Venjaramoodu unveiled the first-look poster of Padakkalam, along with its release date. The film, featuring Sharafudheen, is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.

The poster showcases the two lead actors, with Suraj's character appearing to engage with what looks like two traditional Pakkida dice, while Sharafudheen's character is depicted lunging towards him. The background features a group of young individuals, including Sandeep Pradeep and Niranjana Anoop.

In his caption, Suraj stated, “The Game begins From MAY 2nd in cinemas worldwide.”

Padakkalam cast and crew

Padakkalam is directed by newcomer Manu Swaraj, and early reports suggest it will be an entertaining experience. Production for the film commenced in July 2024.

In addition to Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharafudheen, the cast includes Sandeep Pradeep, Niranjana Anoop, Ishan Shoukath, Saafboi, Arun Pradeep, Arun Ajikumar, and Pooja Mohanraj, among others.

The screenplay is co-written by Manu and Nithin C Babu, with music composed by Rajesh Murugesan. Anu Moothedath is responsible for cinematography, while Nidhin Raj Arol serves as the editor.

Suraj Venjaramoodu’s films

Suraj Venjaramoodu, who recently appeared in Narayaneente Moonnaanmakkal alongside Joju George and Alencier Ley Lopez, is set to star in L2: Empuraan next. The character poster for Suraj from the Mohanlal-starrer was recently revealed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Suraj joins the Lucifer franchise with L2E, which is anticipated to be released on March 27, 2025.

In addition to Mohanlal and Prithviraj, the film features a remarkable ensemble cast that includes Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Indrajith Sukumaran. Suraj Venjaramoodu is also involved in the forthcoming Tamil movie, Veera Dheera Sooran, which stars Vikram.
