Mandala Murders, featuring Vaani Kapoor, is set to premiere on Netflix in 2025, as announced by the streaming platform earlier this month. Director Gopi Puthran and his team have reportedly returned to the filming location to capture additional scenes for this murder mystery, despite the completion of principal photography earlier this year. It appears that filming has been taking place throughout the city, including Madh Island, since last week, with modifications and enhancements to scenes based on feedback from the editing team.

Ongoing Filming for Mandala Murders

A source disclosed to Mid Day that the development of the action-driven sequences and intricate storyline for the Yash Raj series, in which Vaani's character delves into a series of murders, posed significant challenges. The production team recognized the need for adjustments to certain elements to heighten the intensity and suspense of the crime drama during the editing process this year. Consequently, they opted to incorporate new sequences and revise existing ones.

Kapoor embarks on a journey into long-form storytelling with Mandala Murders, which also stars Surveen Chawla, Jameel Khan, and Vaibhav Raj Gupta.

Final filming schedule at Madh Island

According to an insider, the concluding phase of filming on Madh Island encompasses crucial scenes that interconnect the various storylines. There remains one additional week of shooting before the material is deemed ready for release.

In Mandala Murders, detectives Rea Thomas and Vikram Singh delve into a chilling narrative of ritualistic killings linked to a clandestine society that has thrived for centuries in the picturesque and mysterious village of Charandaspur, where myth, murder, and fate converge. Victims, survivors, and truth-seekers find themselves ensnared in a haunting game of destiny amidst a backdrop of foreboding prophecies.
