Aamir Khan has informed the China Fanclub that his character Gulshan in Sitaare Zameen Par is entirely different from Nikumbh in Taare Zameen Par. "Gulshan is quite harsh, politically incorrect, and he disrespects everyone. He has conflicts with his wife and mother," the actor stated, noting that Gulshan even physically confronts his senior coach. Aamir further elaborated that Sitaare Zameen Par focuses on Gulshan's journey towards becoming a better person as the story unfolds.
