When Nikkhil Advani mistook Salman Khan for SRK

Sony TV shared a new promo of Aapka Apna Zakir on Instagram. The promo features Nikkhil Advani talking about his fallout with Karan Johar after their 2003 film Kal Ho Naa Ho. "Kal Ho Naa Ho was my first film and Salaam-E-Ishq was my second. After Kal Ho Naa Ho, I had an argument with Karan. We fought and we separated. Today, we are good friends."

He further recalled Salman Khan standing by his side at that time. Calling Khan the 'messiah' of the Hindi film industry, Advani recalled, "He called me and said 'Come and meet me. I am with you'." Nikkhil also shared his and Salman's amusing incident from the Salaam-E-Ishq set.

"I remember it was a muhurat shot (of Salaam-E-Ishq) and Salman was standing there. I said, 'Shah Rukh, ready?' and he looked at me. There was silence on the set. He saw me like this (enacting Salman) and said 'Ya Karan, I am ready'," recalled Nikkhil.

Helmed by Advani, Salmaan-E-Ishq had its theatrical release on January 25, 2007. It featured an ensemble star cast that included: Salman, Anil Kapoor, Govinda, Juhi Chawla, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, John Abraham, Akshaye Khanna, Vidya Balan, Ayesha Takia and many others.
