The trailer for the forthcoming Tamil film Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, featuring Nivin Pauly, Anjali, and Soori in prominent roles, was unveiled by the producers on social media this past Monday. The film is helmed by director Ram, with the musical score composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

Yezhu Kadal Yezhi Malai is directed by Ram, recognized for his impactful and meaningful cinematic works. The film features Nivin Pauly, Soori, and Anjali in prominent roles. It is produced by V House Productions, under the leadership of producer Suresh Kamatchi.

On Monday, the producers unveiled the trailer for the film "Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai." The trailer primarily takes place on a train travelling on a rainy evening. It is the night of Diwali, during which Nivin Pauly is depicted sounding a horn at the train's entrance. A rat is also featured, alongside Soori, who expresses relief when the horn stops. The interaction between the two men is notably unconventional, as Nivin is shown gently stroking the rat. The scene transitions to a more serene setting, where Anjali appears. Various intercuts reveal the characters experiencing a wide range of emotions, with the rat consistently present. In the concluding moments, Soori is portrayed holding the rat in his hand.

Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai plot

The narrative of the film unfolds primarily aboard a moving train, focusing on the dialogue between a man in his thirties and an immortal being who has existed for 8,000 years, accompanied by a rat. Following a sequence of events that intertwine their destinies, unforeseen emotions emerge.

Last year, the film was showcased at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. Titled Yezhu Kadal Yezhi Malai, it is scheduled for release in March 2025, with the exact date yet to be confirmed. The film features a score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while N K Ekhambram serves as the cinematographer. The editing is handled by Mathi VS.
