Earlier this month, Dharma Productions, led by Karan Johar, posted a mysterious message regarding Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, prompting fans to speculate about a potential sequel. In line with the current trend of re-releases, the film featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone is scheduled to return to theatres in 2025.

PVR INOX is set to reintroduce one of Bollywood's beloved films, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, to cinemas on January 3, 2025, spanning 140 PVR INOX locations across 46 cities. This initiative follows the successful re-release of Dharma Productions' Kal Ho Naa Ho. Additionally, in 2024, several films, including Tumbbad, Veer Zara, and Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, were also re-released in theatres, attracting audiences eager to experience the enchantment of these classics on the big screen once more.

Karan Johar, the Producer, conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the re-release of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, stating, “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani occupies a cherished position within Dharma Productions. The film evokes a warm, comforting sentiment about life. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the reactions of Gen Z as they experience it as adults on the big screen, while millennials join in, singing along and reciting the dialogues before the actors.”

In reflection on the film's re-release, Director Ayan Mukerji remarked, “This film feels akin to my second child, embodying a piece of my heart and soul. More than ten years later, I can assert that the process of creating it was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. What we achieved, with all its strengths and weaknesses, continues to be a source of profound pride for me.”

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is a coming-of-age romantic comedy-drama featuring prominent performances by Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kalki Koechlin, and Aditya Roy Kapur. In addition to its engaging storyline and the cast's performances, the film is renowned for its hit songs such as Badtameez Dil, Balam Pichkari, and Dilliwaali Girlfriend, among others.
