Jisshu U Sengupta is a busy man. He has been working constantly all over the country. Besides the Bengali industry, he is a regular face in the South and Bollywood too. However, he has been frequently on the news nowadays and that is due to the turmoil in his personal life.  

According to reports, Jisshu and his wife Nilanjanaa are separated. This time, the actor is again in the news but he is in the headlines due to his work. Sources say that Jisshu Sengupta will be acting in a film along with the Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan.  

This year, West Bengal and Bangladesh jointly co-produced the film Toofaan. According to the reports, Jisshu Sengupta might play the antagonist and Mimi Chakraborty would play the female lead. Mimi played the lead but Jisshu's role did not materialize. His dates did not match. This time, speculations are again on the air and it is heard that Jisshu did not turn down the offer this time. He will play the villain against Shakib Khan.  

Nothing has been officially confirmed yet, rather the entire thing is under discussion. In the action-packed film, Idhika Paul will play the heroine, reports say. Idhika previously teamed up with Shakib in the film Priyotoma. The shooting will take place in Kolkata at the beginning of 2025.  

Jisshu Sengupta and Nilanjanaa's marriage is in turmoil and it is heard that the actor is now in a live-in relationship in Mumbai with his manager. Nilanjanaa lives in Kolkata with her two daughters.
