Saiee Manjrekar was recently seen in Neeraj Pandey's Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha. The film, starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu in lead roles, hit the silver screen on August 2, 2024. It clashed with Janhvi Kapoor's Ulajh at the box office. However, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha failed to work at the ticket window. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Saiee reacted to the film's poor box office performance.

Saiee Manjrekar on Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha's BO failure

Although Saiee Manjrekar had a great time working on Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the film's box office failure came as a disappointment to her.

Speaking about her film's poor box office performance, Saiee said, "This is a film which was all heart, made with a lot of love, hard work, blood, sweat and tears. It was everyone's baby. So, it was obviously a little bit disheartening. At the end of the day, we just want the film to reach as many people as possible and for them to give it love."

Having said that, Saiee hopes Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha finds its audience on OTT. The actress further spoke about playing Tabu's younger version in the film. Manjrekar recalled she felt a lot of pressure as Tabu is an artiste she looked up to all her life. "So, I had to give my best and my all. But after a lot of workshops and training, I became a lot calmer," stated Saiee.

On her first meeting with Tabu

Continuing the conversation, Saiee spoke about her first meeting with Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha co-star Tabu. The young actress recalled she was 'nervously blabbering' while the senior actress delivered her lines. Filmmaker Neeraj Pandey had informed Saiee that Tabu would read her lines and she had to remember her tonality.

Produced by Friday Filmworks, NH Studioz, and Panorama Studios, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha also featured Shantanu Maheshwari as the younger version of Ajay Devgn. The film also featured Jimmy Sheirgill.
