Actor Manikandan has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing a hat-trick of successes following his hits, Good Night and Lover with his latest Tamil film, Kudumbasthan, which was released in January 2025. The film garnered positive reviews and was well-received in theaters. Following its theatrical run, Kudumbasthan is now poised for its debut on OTT platforms, set to premiere on ZEE5 on March 7. Viewers will have the opportunity to watch the film in Tamil, as well as in Hindi and Telugu, with an OTTplay Premium subscription.

Kudumbasthan OTT release: Experience Manikandan’s acclaimed family drama in Telugu and Hindi  

It has been previously reported that ZEE5 has acquired the streaming rights for the Tamil film Kudumbasthan, featuring Manikandan in the lead role. The film will be available for streaming on the platform starting March 7. In addition to the original Tamil version, the film will also be accessible in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam for viewers with an OTTplay Premium subscription.

Kudumbasthan is directed by first-time filmmaker Rajeshwar Kalisamy, who collaborated with actor Prasanna Balachandran on both the script and screenplay. Balachandran has a significant role in the film.

Upon its release, the film received a favorable response, with numerous viewers praising Manikandan's performance and the clever dialogues that elicit laughter. It has emerged as the fourth highest-grossing film in Tamil cinema this year to date.

All we know about Kudumbasthan

The ensemble cast of Kudumbasthan is headed by Manikandan, accompanied by Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, director R. Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma, known for her role in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Jenson Diwakar, among others. The narrative centers on a middle-class family residing in Coimbatore, where the son is the primary provider. However, a dispute at his workplace resulted in his dismissal. The remainder of the film explores his efforts to fulfill his family's needs while concealing his predicament from them.

The film is produced by S. Vinoth Kumar under the banner of Cinemakaaran. The technical team includes music composed by Vaisagh, with cinematography by Sujith N. Subramaniam, and editing by Kannan Balu.
