Malayalam cinema experienced remarkable success in 2024, with one of the notable films being Sookshmadarshini, featuring Nazriya Fahadh and Basil Joseph. Directed by MC Jithin, this black comedy mystery thriller garnered favourable reviews following its release.

Individuals who were unable to view the film in theatres can now stream it on Disney+ Hotstar. The film is offered in five languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada, accompanied by English subtitles.

The narrative centres around a woman named Priyadarshini, affectionately known as Priya, who enjoys a fulfilling life with her husband, Antony, and their young daughter, Kani. She maintains a strong bond of friendship with the women in her community. Meanwhile, Manuel, the proprietor of Grace Bakers, relocates to her housing complex with his elderly mother, Grace. Although Manuel quickly becomes a beloved figure among the residents, there are underlying mysteries that raise Priya's suspicions.
