The 1995 Tamil film Muthu is currently available for free streaming on the SunNXT app and will remain accessible at no cost until Sunday, as part of the platform's Free Movie Fest initiative. This commercial success, featuring Rajinikanth, was directed by KS Ravikumar.

In honour of Rajinikanth's birthday weekend, SunNXT is providing complimentary streaming of the superstar's 1995 film Muthu on its platform. Additionally, the film can be accessed through the OTTplay Premium app. Muthu will remain available for streaming until Sunday, December 15.

Muthu, released in 1995, was both written and directed by K. S. Ravikumar. Produced by Kavithalayaa Productions, the film features a cast that includes Meena, Sarath Babu, Radha Ravi, Vadivelu, among others. This film is a remake of the Malayalam movie Thenmavin Kombath and revolves around the bond between a zamindar and his servant, which is tested when they both fall in love with the same woman.

It is noteworthy that Muthu achieved significant commercial success in Tamil Nadu and also enjoyed a remarkable run in Japan, where it became one of the highest-grossing Indian films. The film was released in Japan in 1998 under the title Muthu – The Dancing Maharaja and tickets sold rapidly.

Rajinikanth's upcoming film, Coolie, will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Rajinikanth is set to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj on a project titled Coolie. This film is anticipated to be a gangster drama and is produced by Sun Pictures. The cast includes notable actors such as Upendra, Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and Soubin Shahir in supporting roles.

Additionally, Hindi actor Aamir Khan is rumoured to have a significant part in Coolie, which is currently in production in Jaipur. The film features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Recently, the production team unveiled a preview of Chikitu Vibe to celebrate Rajinikanth’s birthday.
