Vaadivaasal, a long-anticipated project featuring actor Suriya and directed by Vetrimaaran, has finally gained momentum, as the filmmakers have begun to share updates regarding the film. Following producer Kalaippuli S Thanu's announcement to commence the project, the director has recently provided the latest information during a public event. 

Vaadivaasal update: Suriya-Vetrimaaran film to go on floors soon

Update on Vaadivaasal: The Suriya-Vetrimaaran collaboration is set to begin production soon. Suriya, who was last seen in Kanguva, is looking forward to the release of Retro on May 1. In addition to this, he is involved in another project with RJ Balaji and is also collaborating with Vetrimaaran on Vaadivaasal. Although the film was initially announced some time ago, it experienced delays in its production schedule. Nevertheless, Vaadivaasal is back in the spotlight, with Vetrimaaran confirming that filming is expected to commence in May or June. Pre-production activities are currently in full progress. This project marks the first collaboration between Suriya and Vetrimaaran.

Vaadivaasal is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu under the V Creations banner. The producer recently shared a post confirming the project's imminent development following a meeting with Vetrimaaran and Suriya. GV Prakash is set to compose the film's music. The narrative of Vaadivaasal will focus on the traditional bull-taming sport known as Jallikattu, which is indigenous to Tamil Nadu. Suriya has previously engaged in practice sessions with bulls in preparation for his role. However, the production team has yet to disclose the film's release date or the details of the remaining cast members.

Viduthalai Part 2 can be streamed on Prime Video. The film features a cast that includes Soori, Vijay Sethupathi, Manju Warrier, Rajiv Menon, among others, and is categorized as a period action drama. The narrative centers on a novice police officer tasked with apprehending the leader of a popular movement. Viduthalai is a two-part series with a musical score composed by Ilaiyaraaja. Upon release, the film received a mix of positive and mixed reviews.
