Laila is the newest flick featuring Vishwak Sen, but it ended up being a huge disappointment at the box office. It hit theaters on February 14, 2025, and was directed by Ram Narayan, with a budget close to ₹15 crore. Unfortunately, the movie received such negative reviews from viewers that it was yanked from cinemas just three days after it premiered.

We previously shared that Prime Video snagged the digital rights for Laila, and later on, we mentioned that Aha secured the streaming rights with plans to launch the film on March 7, 2025. However, the latest news is that Laila isn't streaming on Aha just yet, and the reason for the hold-up is still a mystery. On the other hand, Prime Video has also pushed back its release but has now confirmed that Laila will be available for streaming starting March 9, 2025.

Vishwak Sen takes the lead in this film, which also marks the Telugu debut of Kannada actress Akanksha Singh. She plays a glamorous role, but sadly, the film didn’t really help her career in Telugu cinema. In Laila, Vishwak Sen plays a salon owner who dresses up as a woman to dodge some goons after him, and the twist behind his disguise is a key part of the story.

Laila's digital debut on Prime Video hasn't exactly taken off, with not much excitement around it. This film is Vishwak Sen's third straight box-office miss after Gangs of Godavari and Mechanic Rocky. After Laila's poor reception, he got hit hard with trolling from fans over his script choices. The criticism was so strong that he ended up apologizing publicly, vowing to choose his projects more carefully in the future.
