Visfot: Sanjay Gupta spills beans about Fardeen Khan and Riteish Deshmukh's face-off in the film

Filmmaker and producer Sanjay Gupta is awaiting the release of his OTT film, Visfot. Directed by Kookie Gulati, Visfot stars Fardeen Khan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Krystle D'Souza. The film, set against Mumbai's backdrop, skipped a theatrical release. And now it's headed for a direct-to-OTT release on JioCinema. In a recent interview with Mid-Day, producer Sanjay spoke about his film's digital release and the lead actors Riteish and Fardeen's face-off in the movie.

In Visfot, Fardeen Khan and Riteish Deshmukh play two men from different backgrounds but they find their fates intertwined. While Riteish is usually seen in comedy dramas, Fardeen returned to movies after a long time. Talking about Khan, Sanjay said he feels the actor has his father Feroz Khan's screen presence.

"I was delighted to work with him on this. When people watch the film, they will ask, ‘Why was this guy not around for a decade?’ He and Riteish bring a brilliant on-screen face-off," he told the tabloid. When asked about the movie's digital release, Sanjay revealed Visfot was made for 'OTT from the word go'.

"We cannot undermine the power of OTT. During the lockdown, we saw how the viewing patterns changed," he added. Apart from Fardeen, Riteish, and Krystle, the star cast of Visfot includes Ridhi Dogra, Priya Bapat, Mahesh Manjrekar, Seema Biswas, Jisshu Sengupta, Sheeba Chaddha, Rohit Roy and many others.

When and where to watch Visfot on OTT?

Visfot is scheduled for an OTT release on JioCinema on September 6, 2024. As per the film's official synopsis, the Kookie Gulati directorial follows the story of 'two families, one living in a Mumbai slum and the other in a luxurious high-rise, whose paths intertwine unexpectedly'.
