Vipin Das stated in an interview with The Cue that his project with Prithviraj Sukumaran will begin soon this year. In addition to entertaining elements from Vipin's previous films, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Vaazha - Biopic of a Billion Boys, the director indicated that the film will primarily feature a set of newcomers. According to reports, the movie is titled Santosh Trophy.

Expectations for this film are high because Vipin's previous works were appreciated for their light-hearted storytelling approach. As a result, the director's other eagerly awaited project, starring Fahadh Faasil, has been delayed until next year. 

All about Vipin Das-Fahadh Faasil project

It has been reported that SJ Suryah will have a significant part in Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey-fame Vipin Das's upcoming movie alongside Fahadh Faasil. With this movie, the Jigarthanda Double X star makes his Malayalam debut. 

Produced by Badusha Cinemas, the untitled film is billed as a mass-entertainer. In addition to Malayalam, the makers have disclosed that the movie would be released in Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. They also said that more information about the project will be disclosed in the days ahead. This big budget film is being financed by Badusha, Shinoy Mathew, Tipu Shan, and Shiyas Hassan. 

SJ Suryah recently described the movie's finale scene and how Fahadh Faasil's performance peaked in that scene in an interview confirming the project. "What I have to say is but a drop in the ocean; thus far, he has given excellent performances. Our project is now expected to meet even greater standards. It is a clever idea," he continued.

Vipin Das’ other projects

Guruvayoorambala Nadayil, the young director's second feature film, is currently available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The film debuted in theatres in May. The film's principal actors are Anaswara Rajan, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The most recent movie, Vaazha: Biopic of a Billion Boys, is receiving a lot of positive reviews from critics. Vipin wrote the screenplay for it as well.
