Viineet Kumar Siingh received a ton of praise for his role in Anurag Kashyap's 2018 film, Mukkabaaz, where he portrayed the boxer Shravan Kumar Singh. Even though his performance was highly acclaimed, the movie didn't do great at the box office. In a recent exclusive chat with OTTplay, Siingh shared his desire to see Mukkabaaz make a comeback in theaters.

In a chat with us, Viineet Kumar Singh shared his thoughts on why Mukkabaaz didn’t do well at the box office, even though it got a lot of positive reviews. "People really loved Mukkabaaz and connected with the characters. Even now, folks still watch it and discuss it, but the box office numbers just didn’t reflect that love. I had to deal with a lot of challenges because of it," Viineet remembered.

The actor shared his thoughts on how success in films can really boost an actor's career. "But honestly, Mukkabaaz didn’t draw big crowds in theaters. I had to grind for about six to seven years, figuring out my next steps," he mentioned.

Jumping to 2025, Viineet believes that if Mukkabaaz were to hit theaters again, it would do really well. "I’m totally convinced that a re-release of Mukkabaaz would break records. It would pull in different box office numbers and get a whole new wave of love. I’m urging my producers to consider bringing Mukkabaaz back to theaters," he expressed.

Viineet Kumar Siingh recently shared his thoughts on the amazing box office success of his latest film, Chhaava.

"I'm really thrilled. People used to say that my films don’t pull in big numbers at the box office. But now, with these results, no one can say I haven’t made a hit. I've been working hard to connect with a bigger audience, and with Chhaava, I finally did it. It’s a beautiful film, and I feel like people have welcomed it into their hearts," Viineet expressed before wrapping up.
