Fans of Prithviraj Sukumaran have always been delighted by any news regarding his upcoming film, Vilayath Buddha. According to the latest reports, the shooting of the highly anticipated project is progressing, and the makers intend to have it released in theatres in December. If it is released at the scheduled time, fans may expect an impressive movie from the actor in time for Christmas. It is also anticipated to give him another box office hit this year.

Prithviraj shared the poster on his official social media accounts to express his gratitude to team Vilayath Buddha for the surprise.

Vilayath Buddha's filming update

Prithviraj Sukumaran was scheduled to start filming Salaar 2 after concluding the existing schedules of his third directorial, L2 Empuraan, featuring Mohanlal in the lead role. However, because to the Telugu superstar's hectic schedule, the Prabhas starrer has been postponed indefinitely. According to sources, Prithviraj has reportedly started shooting Vilayath Buddha again. According to reports, the actor intends to finish the remaining scenes of the movie quickly.

Reportedly a drama-thriller, Prithviraj plays a small-town smuggler in Vilayath Buddha. The well-known novel of the same name written by GR Indugopan serves as the inspiration for Jayan Nambiar's film. Anu Mohan has a significant part in the movie as well. The team eventually decided on Shammi Thilakan to play Bhaskaran in the film, even though Kottayam Ramesh was first in queue for the role. In the movie, Prithviraj will play the ambiguous character of Mohanan, while Priyamvada Krishnan plays the lead female character. Under the banner of Urvasi Theatres, Sandeep Senan is the project's producer.
