Shanaya Kapoor and Vikrant Massey unite for a romantic film

Vikrant Massey had a wonderful 2024 year with the massive success of 12th Fail. The actor also appeared in the sequel to Netflix’s hit romantic thriller Haseen Dillruba. Now, Vikrant is gearing up to pair opposite Bollywood’s new face, Shanaya Kapoor, in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan. The makers shared the exciting news today by dropping two pictures from the film set.

Backed by Mini Films, the romantic drama seems like a promising film about love and modern dating and relationships. While announcing the news, the makers also hinted at the plot of the film which is a contemporary take on romance and ghosting. The fresh pairing of Vikrant and Shanaya is another reason that makes this romantic film highly anticipated.

Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan film shoot begins

Taking to Instagram, the makers dropped a carousel post, along with the cast and crew. The first picture showcases the producers Varun Bagla and Mansi Bagla posing with the leads Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor. The film director Santosh Singh is also seen in the picture. The next photo in the carousel shows that the shooting has already begun.

Interestingly, Vikrant will be reuniting with Santosh after Broken But Beautiful. In a chat with Pinkvilla, the actor revealed the challenges while playing a loverboy in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and also expressed his excitement to be a part of the film.  “Playing a lover boy is an exciting challenge, and the scale of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan feels truly grand. Mansi’s belief in me as a romantic lead has been constant, and together, we’re creating something special. My gratitude goes to Mansi and Varun Bagla for this incredible opportunity and working with Santosh Singh again has been creatively fulfilling. AKG has all the elements to win people’s hearts and I am really excited and looking forward to working with Shanaya in her debut film,” Massey shared with the news portal.
