Actor Vikram, who was last seen in Tamil film Thangalaan, is currently working with director SU Arun Kumar for a film titled Veera Dheera Sooran. The production is underway, with the makers yet to announce the release date. Now, as per the latest reports, it looks like the actor has almost locked the director of his next film, and it is none other than director Madonne Ashwin of Mandela and Maaveeran fame.
Chiyaan Vikram and Madonne Ashwin to team up?
Madonne Ashwin, who has helmed the critically acclaimed film Maaveeran in his last directorial, is said to be pairing up with actor Vikram fondly known as Chiyaan Vikram. As per the latest reports, the project is almost confirmed, with the production banner Shanthi Talkies all set to bankroll the film. However, no official confirmation has been announced by the makers so far. If the news of collaboration is indeed true, it will mark the first time Vikram will be working with Madonne Ashwin.
It will be interesting to see what kind of story Chiyaan 63 (the upcoming project with Madonne Ashwin) would be, given the filmmaker has made political satire Mandela and superhero drama Maaveeran. The filmmaker’s sophomore project was Maaveeran featuring Sivakarthikeyan. Available on Prime Video, it revolves around a cartoonist who sustains an injury, due to which he hears a voice that begins to tell only him what is about to happen in the near future. Vijay Sethupathi has lent the voice.
