On Friday, the production team revealed that the first-look poster for Thalapathy 69 will be unveiled on January 26, coinciding with Republic Day. KVN Productions, the studio behind Thalapathy 69, shared a brief compilation of Vijay's previous films along with the latest news regarding this project.

Directed by H Vinoth, marking his first collaboration with the actor, Thalapathy 69 features a cast that includes Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, and others. The film's music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with a scheduled release in October.

Is Thalapathy 69 a remake of Bhagavanth Kesari?

There is considerable speculation that Thalapathy 69 may be a remake of the Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, which featured Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sreeleela, and Kajal Aggarwal. Although the production team has not made an official announcement regarding this, actor VTV Ganesh recently mentioned at an event that Vijay had viewed Bhagavanth Kesari five times and thoroughly enjoyed it. He also noted that Vijay had reached out to the director, Anil Ravipudi, expressing a desire to collaborate.
