Actor-composer Vijay Antony, who was last seen in Hitler, has announced a new Tamil film titled Gagana Maargan. The film is directed by Leo John Paul and is presented by Vijay Antony’s home banner Vijay Antony Films Corporation.

Gagana Maargan is a new Tamil film, which is to be headlined by actor-composer Vijay Antony. The announcement was made on Wednesday (October 16) on social media. The film is touted to be a murder mystery-crime thriller that delves into the world of detective fiction.
The film's title, Gagana Maargan, translates to "one who travels through air". In the film, Vijay Antony will be playing the role of a high-ranking police officer. Apart from Vijay Antony, the film’s cast also includes Samuthirakani, Brigida Saga, Mahanathi Shankar, Prithika, Vinodh Sagar, Ajay Dhishan, Deepshikha, Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru Archana, Kanimozhi, and Anthagaram Natarajan.
Gagana Maargan is helmed by Leo John Paul, who has previously worked as an editor in films like Attakathi, Beeda, Soodhu Kavvum, Indru Netru Naalai, Thekadi, Mundasupatti, Kadalum Kadandhu Pogum, A1, and Mayavan. He will make his directorial debut with Gagana Maargan. He also won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Editor for the 2013 Tamil film Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

The technical crew of Gagana Maargan includes Yuva S as cinematographer and Raja A as art director. Besides starring in the film, Vijay Antony will also be scoring the music for the film. Notably, the film features underwater sequences shot in Mumbai and impressive visual effects. A release date for Gagana Maargan is yet to be announced by the makers.
Meanwhile, Vijay Antony was seen in three films this year, Romeo, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan, and the recently released Hitler. While Romeo is a romantic drama, which is now streaming on Aha Tamil and OTTplay Premium, Mazhai Pidikatha Manithan is a thriller drama available on Prime Video. Hitler is yet to make its OTT debut.
